At Pérez Veros, we are very pleased with the results of our young wines from 2012, which are already in the bottle. If you would like, you can now come to the winery to taste them. It was an excellent harvest, with extraordinary results.

What is more, our denomination of origin, Ribera del Duero, has won the Wine Star Award as the Best Wine Region 2012. This prize is awarded by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, and other regions competing this year included Napa Valley (USA), Cape Winelands (South Africa), Walla Walla Valley (USA) and the Loire Valley (France).

Ribera del Duero received the support of the judges at these prestigious awards, considered the Oscar of the wine world. The panel included publishers, critics and journalists linked to the magazine, a leading oenological publication. These experts highlighted the “historical and traditional way of extracting the greatest expression of the Tempranillo grape” employed in this Denomination of Origin. They acknowledged the huge potential of Ribera del Duero wines in international markets and the renown the region has achieved.

In the opinion of the judges, these two elements have contributed to the evolution of the “Drink Ribera, Drink Spain” campaign, which “has created greater international recognition for the area, making it a favourite among global experts”. There is little wonder that the United States has become the main export destination for wineries in the Ribera del Duero region.
